Meet the Center for Civic Engagement & Leadership Staff

melissa gaeke  Melissa A. Gaeke, the Director of the Center for
  Civic Engagement and Leadership and Professional
  Lecturer in Political Science at Marist College. She  
  holds a doctorate in Public Administration from the
  University of Southern California‚Äôs Sol Price School of
  Public Policy. Her interests include engaging students
  in activities that teach them about civic engagement
  and working with nonprofit organizations to build their
  capacity to connect access resources and connect with
  stakeholders. She has worked to create and support
  civic engagement programs for more than 20 years.

Community Based Learning Coordinator

Brianna is a senior majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. With a passion for community service and a desire to learn new skills, Brianna started working at the Center for Civic Engagement and Leadership as a student associate in her junior year, and she is thrilled to be taking on the role of CBL Coordinator. She is learning what it means to serve her community in different ways, is further developing her skill set, and is consistently broadening her leadership role.

CCEL Project Coordinator

Fiona Dwyer-McNulty is a senior Political Science major from Red Hook, NY. Her involvement in her own community, as well as her experiences in and out of the classroom, have instilled an interest in civic engagement and how it can be fostered through education. At the CCEL, she works on developing new resources for students to learn about post-graduate and gap year opportunities.
