Space in the 2008 Marist College Summer Writing Institute is limited. To
apply, see the Application Form and fill it out completely. Then mail the
completed Application Form to us, along with your writing sample in
fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. We'll review your application promptly
and reply with our decision. No fees are due with the
Application Form

The postmark deadline for all application submissions is July 15, 2008.

The Registration Fee for the 2008 Summer Writing Institute is $475, and is only payable upon notification of acceptance by the Director of SWI. The Registration Fee includes complete access to all SWI events, including the workshop in fiction, nonfiction or poetry. Upon notification of acceptance, all fees, including any optional housing fees, will be due by July 15, 2008. For those completed applications postmarked by May 1, 2008, the Registration Fee will be automatically reduced to $ 425. Fees are payable in full by a check made out to Marist College.
Housing is available on the Marist College campus for an additional fee. For those interested in finding out more about housing for the 2008 SWI, check the box marked "Housing" on the Application Form.
For those who are interested in applying for college credit, the Summer Writing Institute is being offered in conjunction with a special Summer Independent Study program, where a small number of undergraduate students will be able to work on their own writing in the genre of their choice from home, and then attend the four-day conference.
