| Bio: | Elizabeth Purinton-Johnson is an Associate Professor at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island. While in graduate school, she was awarded the Graduate Teaching Excellence Award at the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Purinton-Johnson is a fellow of the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium. At Marist College, Dr. Purinton-Johnson is the Chair of the Department of Organization and Environment. She was the founding faculty advisor to the College’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. She worked extensively on Outcomes Assessment within the School of Management taking on the role of Assessment Steward. She was Chair of the Library Faculty Development Committee and currently serves on the College’s Institutional Review Board. Dr. Purinton-Johnson’s research programs include consumption meanings of jewelry, consumer aesthetics, marketing education and mature marketing relationship survival. Dr. Purinton-Johnson’s research is published in the Academy of Marketing Science Review, Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences, the Journal of Business to Business Marketing, and several conference proceedings. |
