Bio:

When not teaching Ismay is serving her second term as a Councilwomenin the Town of Wappinger.  In that role she serves as the Human Resource  liason to several  departments within Town Government.   Currently, she is part of the Bargining team negotiating a Collective Bargaining Agreement with town hall employees.   Recently appointed to the oversight Committee for the Town of Wappinger Recycle center looking to keeping costs in line the Budget.  In 2010 she began to study sustainability and is currently working to develop a sustainability plan for the Town.  

Ismay is a member of the Wappinger ELKS where she serves as the scholarship chair.

 

Interests:

Ismay enjoys serving  her community as an elected official and regularly meets her constituents to discuss their issues and concerns.  She is active  in her church. 

She loves dogs and her favorite breed is the Labrador Retriever.   An avid boater Ismay takes every opportunity to enjoy boating trips on the Hudson River with her husband Alex.   She has two grown sons; Sean and Patick Force and is a step mom to Alex J Czarniecki and Michael Czarniecki who live in Texas with their wives and children. 

Her current research focus is developing local sustainability efforts

In April of 2011, she was recognized for outstanding service to individuals with disabilites by the Office of Special Service.
