MBA Application Procedures

The MBA program looks at the interest, aptitude, and growth capacity of a prospective management student as indicated by the applicant's previous academic record, achievement on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and past professional achievement and growth. The MBA Admissions Committee will review applications of qualified applicants regardless of their undergraduate major. The merits of each student's application are evaluated on an individual basis.

To apply for admission to the Marist MBA program, please submit the following:

  • A completed Graduate Admissions Application (available online).
  • A non-refundable application fee of $50.00. You may pay online or send check or money order payable to Marist College.
  • Official transcripts of all prior undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
  • Completed recommendation forms from two references. We suggest that you solicit recommendations from those who can comment meaningfully on your performance in an academic or professional setting.
  • Response to essay questions.
  • A current resume.
  • Official score report on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) taken within the last five years (Marist's score reporting code is K9K-FZ-91).

Send all application materials to:

All applicants to the MBA program must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. An official score report on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required. Information regarding the GMAT test and testing sites may be found at www.mba.com. Applicants who already hold a masters degree or above are exempt from the GMAT.

Students with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better may take up to two foundation courses in one semester as a non-matriculated candidate. All requirements for matriculation must be satisfied upon completion of the non-matriculated semester. Admission as a non-matriculated student does not guarantee full admission to the MBA program as a matriculated, degree-seeking candidate.
