MEMORANDUM TO THE MARIST COMMUNITY
FROM: DAVID YELLEN
SUBJECT: Rosh Hashanah
This Sunday at sundown, many members of the Marist community will be observing Rosh Hashanah, the two-day celebration of the Jewish new year. Sunday evening also marks the beginning of the High Holidays, the most important days in the Jewish calendar and a time of reflection, family, and religious services. The High Holidays culminate with the observance of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), which begins at sundown on Tuesday, October 11. Please join me in wishing the Jewish community l'shana tovah.
