Deborah A. Golestanideb
Senior Human Resource Partner /Site HR Location Leader

Debbie Golestani serves as Senior Human Resources Partner and Location Leader for IBM Mid-Hudson Valley, Endicott, Albany and New Jersey locations.   As an experienced Human Resources leader for over 30 years, Debbie has expertise in talent development, organizational management, data analysis, engagement, compensation & benefits, recruiting, coaching and mentoring.  She is motivated by creating innovative approaches to talent management, business transformation and improving efficiencies.  Previously, Debbie held various management positions in Site Operations, Systems Operations and Manufacturing.  She is based at the IBM Poughkeepsie location and has lived and worked in the Mid-Hudson Valley for her entire career.  

Debbie holds a Masters in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary College and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Communication from Marist College.

 Sarah R. Hartwell
Sr. Human Resources Manager
Gap Inc


Sarah R. Hartwell serves as a Sr. Human Resources Manager at Gap Inc. In this role, Sarah has responsibility for talent management, employee relations, recruiting, training and development, compensation, project management, and organizational development. Since joining Gap Inc. 12 years ago, Sarah has served in several key HR roles at their Fishkill, NY Distribution Center location. Prior to joining Gap Inc. Sarah held leadership and HR roles for retail organizations to include Limited Brands, Aeropostale, and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Sarah holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marist College, located in Poughkeepsie, New York. Sarah has also received a PHR Certification in 2009 and has been a member of SHRM since 2007.

Jill Sammonjill
Director of Organizational Development & Employee Relations
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation

Jill Sammon is currently the Director of Organizational Development & Employee Relations at Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation.  Jill has been with Central Hudson for over 26 years and is a member of their Quarter Century Club.  Prior to joining the Human Resources Division in 2014, Jill worked in the Real Property Services Division for fourteen years, most recently serving as the Director of Real Property Services. Born and raised in Dutchess County, Jill is a 2000 graduate of Marist College, receiving her B.S. degree in Business & Paralegal Studies.  Jill currently volunteers at the Poughkeepsie Farm Project and has served in a volunteer capacity with community organizations such as the United Way, Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Walkway Over the Hudson.  Jill resides in the Town of Poughkeepsie with her husband, John, and twin children, Isabella and Jacob.

Maureen C. Solero, SPHRmaureen

Maureen joined Health Quest in June 2017 and is responsible for the firm’s Talent Management, Succession Planning, Organizational-Leadership Development and Employee Engagement Programs. Health Quest is a Hudson Valley-based family of integrated hospitals and healthcare providers, delivering medical and surgical services and home care.The firm’s award-winning hospitals — Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, Sharon Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center — have deep roots in their communities and work together to provide quality care for patients.

She joined Health Quest after a 25 year career where she held global business and leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, Broadview International, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Lee Hecht Harrison. In addition to her experience in the financial services, technology, pharmaceutical and professional services sectors, she also led the Executive MBA Program at New York University’s Stern School of Business, where she was the first woman to be appointed as Chair of the Executive MBA Council.  An accomplished leadership and communications expert and published author, she was appointed to the Linkedin 100, recognized as among the world’s top 100 influencers of social media. She is the recipient of numerous President Awards for her contribution to leadership development, employer branding and diversity and inclusion programs and is a frequent presenter at professional business and HR conferences.

 Maureen earned her AAS degree in design and photography from Parson’s School of Design; her B.S. in communications from City University of New York and her M.A. degree in organizational development from New York University.  She is a certified Executive Coach and earned the Senior Professional of Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resources.

She and her husband, Irving Solero, reside in the Hudson Valley.  She is a Member of the Rhinebeck, New York Rotary, an Ambassador of the Walkway Over the Hudson and a board member at Teacher’s College for the Executive Coaching Program.

Dr. Danny Szpirodanny
Professor of Accounting
Dean of the School of Professional Programs & Assistant Vice President (Academic) Marist College

Danny Szpiro is an award-winning teacher and expert on financial management, including the areas of management accounting, capital budgeting, post-investment review, and the Balanced Scorecard. He has published on the topic of integrating capital budgeting and corporate strategy, and he has published teaching material on the use of the case method that has been adopted by universities around the world. He has also held academic appointments and senior administrative roles in leading business schools in North America and Europe.

Danny earned a BSc from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from Queen’s University, an MSc (International Accounting & Finance) from the London School of Economics, and a PhD from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. In his research and consulting, he has worked with organizations on the use of post-investment reviews and strategic controls in capital investment systems and on developing the financial analytical skills of managers.

Danny has led sessions and courses with executives in many development and graduate degree programs, including MBA, Executive MBA, Executive CMA and Aviation MBA specializations, in North America and overseas. Danny has delivered in-company executive development courses with leading organizations such as The Home Depot, Walmart, AstraZeneca, Generali, Erste Bank, Goodyear, FedEx, and Cevital.

Danny is an experienced leader in the fields of executive and adult education. Danny is Dean of the School of Professional Programs and Assistant Vice President (Academic) at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where his work is focused on adult education, built on a strong liberal arts foundation. Previously, he was Academic Dean at the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University and worked closely with Jack Welch on the development of both an Executive MBA program and self-paced online management development courses. From 2004 to 2012 Dr. Szpiro was a faculty member and administrator at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He joined Johnson as the founding Director of The Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program and ultimately advanced to the position of Associate Dean for Executive Education. From 1999 to 2004, he was an Associate Professor with Queen’s School of Business at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, and, for most of that period, the Director of Queen’s National Executive MBA program. Prior to joining Queen’s, he was a faculty member with the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. Before pursuing an academic career, he spent many years in various international activities in the consumer electronics industry.
