Marist and YNN to host 18th Congressional District Debate
POUGHKEEPSIE - Marist College will be the scene Monday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. of a debate between Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth and Democratic challenger Sean Patrick Maloney.
“Marist is pleased to again partner with YNN to host this important political debate that will help voters make an informed decision come Election Day," said college President Dennis J. Murray. "We look forward to welcoming Rep. Hayworth and Sean Patrick Maloney to campus and providing an opportunity for our students to get a first-hand look at a key element of our political process."
A very limited number of tickets are available to the public. They can be reserved only by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling to Office of Public Affairs at 845-575-3174 by Thursday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.
Because the debate is being recorded for later airing, it is not open to members of the press.
The hour-long debate will be moderated by Liz Benjamin and Nick Reisman of YNN's "Capital Tonight." It will be broadcast on YNN at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. that evening. It will also be streamed on YNN.com for all web viewers, regardless of their cable provider, and will be archived on the site for later viewing.
