Marist Theatre Club to Stage "Almost, Maine"

Marist

Marist senior Irene Elias to direct stories of love and loss in northern Maine from playright John Cariani

The Marist College Club of Theatre Arts opens its Fall season with Almost Maine, by John Cariani, a series of vignettes that deal with love and loss in a secluded, somewhat mythical town in northern Maine. Each of the stories takes place at nine o’clock on a cold, clear, moonless, slightly surreal Friday night in the middle of the deepest part of winter. According to the playwright, "Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same."

Actors on set

The play will be directed by Marist senior Irene Elias, with performances on Thursday, Oct. 6 through Saturday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. in the Murray Student Center Cabaret.
