Marist to Host Renewable Energy Forum
Leading energy industry executives to discuss opportunities for renewables
POUGHKEEPSIE- Marist College will host "Building Renewables into Energy Independence: A Leadership Forum on Energy Policy" on Thursday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 2023 of the Hancock Center.
The forum, sponsored by The Hudson Renewable Energy Institute, A. Page & Associates, the McCann Foundation, Inc., James Ottaway, Jr., BlueRock Energy, and Global Energy Capital, will explore policy questions and business opportunities for renewable energy concerns and investors.
Independent system operators, state-based retail access programs, smart grid technologies and advances in IT have all combined to create the prospect of a truly open and competitive retail electric supply market. Leading energy industry executives, investors, and consultants will speak on the policy and business issues that are shaping the market for renewables.
