MARIST TO MARK CONSTITUTION DAY

POUGHKEEPSIE - Marist College will commemorate Constitution Day on Wednesday, September 23, with a panel discussion on the Constitution and its modern day relevance at 1 p.m. in Room 349, on the third floor of the Student Center.

Participating in the roundtable are Professors JoAnne Myers, Annamaria Maciocia, and Julie Raines. The event is free and open to the public.

The Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787. In 2004, a law establishing Constitution Day was created through a spending bill amendment by Senator Robert Byrd mandating that all publicly funded educational institutions provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day.
