MARIST'S WILLIAMS NAMED TO BOARD OF IT PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION
POUGHKEEPSIE -
SHARE Inc., the world's largest association of corporate users of enterprise IT, recently announced its 2009-2010 board of directors, following elections which took place during its conference in Denver, Colorado.
Among those joining the board is A. Harry Williams, director of technology and systems at Marist College, who will serve a two-year term. Williams will oversee SHARE's Community Enablement program, which includes providing the infrastructure and tools to support the year-round SHARE experience both online and at in-person events.
"Much of my success at Marist is directly due to the benefit of having attended and volunteered at SHARE, what I was able to learn, and the contacts I developed over the years," said Williams. "I look forward to being able to continue to help bring SHARE to a new generation of IT professionals."
Williams' previous SHARE roles include participation in the Storage Management Technical Steering Committee and service as program manager for three different programs, most recently Enterprise Data Center.
"The strength of the 2009-2010 board of directors reflects SHARE's long tradition of identifying talented volunteers and providing opportunities for them to develop their leadership skills," said SHARE President Pamela J. Taylor. "We appreciate both Harry's commitment to SHARE and the support of Marist College for his participation. I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work with him and the rest of our board in the coming year."
