FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER ASHLEY GILBERTSON TO SPEAK AT MARIST
POUGHKEEPSIE -
Freelance photographer Ashley Gilbertson will discuss his work as part of the 2009-2010 Marist Lecture Series on Wednesday, October 28, at 8 p.m. in the Henry Hudson Room of Fontaine Hall on the Marist campus. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. A reception will follow.
Gilbertson was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and now resides in New York City. His work has appeared across the world in numerous publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Die Zeit, and Vanity Fair. His acclaimed book of photography, Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, examines the war in Iraq firsthand. Examples of his work are available online at
