Marist Partners with Lit Green to Research and Analyze Lighting Efficiency

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (Nov. 15, 2016) – Marist College has partnered with Lit Green, a provider of cutting-edge products in the fields of LED lighting, energy management, power generation, energy storage and distribution, systems monitoring, and data analytics used to research and develop energy efficient products. LitGreen logo

Lit Green successfully reduced the Town of Lloyd energy usage by 71 percent by upgrading to solid state LED lighting.  Building on that and other successes, Lit Green has chosen to partner with Marist College to utilize the College’s high-performance technologies to perform energy auditing and data analytics research. Applying the College’s expertise in advanced predictive analytics, Lit Green and Marist will investigate lighting efficiencies to improve lighting effectiveness and productivity nationwide.  The project will also focus on building energy efficiency in relation to the Internet of Things (IoT) by creating a network of electronic monitoring devices, sensors, software and network connectivity which will enable data exchange between objects.  The capability to provide research and development is supported by the New York State Cloud Computing and Analytics Center (CCAC), located at Marist College.

Lit Green also recently formed a valuable corporate partnership with the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHVFCU), a not-for-profit, member-owned, financial cooperative, to expand community presence and increase the use of efficient energy within the Hudson Valley.  The partnership will enable MHVFCU members and Lit Green customers the ability to finance their lighting efficiency and energy savings upgrades with MHVFCU easily and affordably.
