Sustainability Today for a Brighter Tomorrow
Scenic Hudson's Steve Rosenberg to keynote Marist's 7th Annual Sustainability Day
POUGHKEEPSIE (Feb. 19, 2014) – Steve Rosenberg, Executive Director of the Scenic Hudson Land Trust and Sr. Vice President of Scenic Hudson, Inc. and IBM's Christian Klezl, vice president for corporate strategy, will deliver a pair of keynote addresses at Marist's 7th Annual Sustainability Day on Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Student Center.
Rosenberg will speak on a “Hudson Valley Foodshed Plan,” at 11:00 a.m. in Student Center Room 2101, and Klezl will speak on "Building a Smarter Planet; Transformation, Growth, & Sustainability" at 4:00 p.m. in the Nelly Golletti Theatre.
The all-day event will also feature food tastings, student and faculty workshops, educational displays, and student-led tours of the newly-renovated Student Center. Related film screenings ("Pandora's Promise," Tapped," and "Island President") will take place earlier in the week.
