Undergraduate Programs

The Psychology Department at Marist is committed to providing quality teaching and mentorship. The curriculum we offer is diverse, challenging, and intended to provide not only a grounding in the history, theories, and methods of psychology, but also a framework for critical thinking and scientific literacy. Our goal is to encourage students to explore the field of psychology, to engage in self-reflection, and to determine the most rewarding career path.

Psychology courses are classified into five different categories to reflect a range of sub-disciplines within the field of psychology. Courses in each category are taught by engaging professors who are experts in their field. These five categories are:

  • Developmental Psychology
  • Biological Psychology
  • Sociocultural Psychology
  • Learning and Cognition
  • Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology
