Success in Student Placement

The School of Science is proud of its record of student placement into graduate schools, health professional schools, and the world of employment. For details about student success in each of our departments and programs (Athletic Training, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Environmental Science & Policy, Medical Laborator Sciences, and Pre-Med/Pre-Health), we encourage you to visit their respective home pages. A few highlights of our record of student success are listed here:

• Since the programs inception in the early 1980's, 100% of our Medical Technology graduates have been offered positions in hospitals, clinics, research centers, and other health care settings within 6 months of graduation. Many of these students had multiple job offers prior to graduation.
• 85% of Marist students or recent alumni applying to medical schools (M.D. and D.O.) for starting dates in Fall 1999 through Fall 2007 were accepted to at least one medical school.
