Vehicle Parking Registration
Welcome to the Marist College Office of Safety & Security
Online Vehicle Parking Registration System.
This quick and convenient registration process takes only a few minutes to complete and will reduce the paperwork and delay involved in the mail-in registration program used previously. In addition, after submitting your vehicle registration application, you will have the ability to check the status of your pending parking permit application online.
Information regarding parking permit pick-up (dates, times and locations) is posted at the Security Office.
Residents must have the minimum requirement of 50 credits in order to register a vehicle and obtain a parking permit. Lot assignments are based on credits; the higher the student's earned credit hours, the closer their parking permit will be to their residence.
Resident students housed at the Residence Inn or Talmadge Court who have less than 50 credits will be issued a permit for the time they reside at those two housing facilities.
Commuters, regardless of credit hours, can utilize the system and will be required to provide their off-campus/local address at the time of application.
Current Full-time Staff and Full-time Faculty: No need to re-register at this time. All Employee permits are still valid.
New Full-time Employees: Please register your vehicle using the online system. Contact the Security office at 845-471-1822 to make arrangements for permit pick-up.
NEW INFORMATION FOR PART-TIME FACULTY
New Part-Time Faculty (First time teaching at the College):
To register on-line, allow 2 business days after ALL your paperwork (Contract, I-9, Tax Forms, etc.) has been submitted to the HR Office. Your parking permit will be mailed to your home address.
If you need a permit immediately or have any questions, please contact Iris in the Security Office during business hours (8 AM to 4:30 PM) or call (845-471-1822).
Returning Part-Time (Prior Teaching position at Marist):
Once you have electronically signed your contract you will be able to register your vehicle on-line immediately.
Your permit will be mailed to your home address.
Permits are valid ONLY for the Semester you are currently employed and must be renewed each semester you return to teach.
Commuter and Resident permits must be picked up at Marist's main campus.
TO RECEIVE YOUR PERMIT YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING WITH YOU TO THE SECURITY OFFICE:
- your Marist ID card
- a copy of your driver's license
- a copy of the vehicle registration.
(We cannot make your copies for you).
NOTE: Fraudulently obtaining a permit for yourself or for someone else who is not eligible or providing false information during the application process will result in the revocation of your on-campus parking privileges.
