Marist College Club of Theatre Arts (MCCTA) will be performing the Murder Mystery Dinner: “Death and Taxes”.  Enjoy an exciting and interactive whodunit performed by our very own student theatre group. Dinner will be served throughout the show. Please note that this event is only available to guests registered for Saturday only or all weekend for Family Weekend. Stand-by tickets may be available at the Registration Desk if cancellations occur. Tickets for this event are limited and must be purchased in advance.

Please stop by the third floor of the Hancock Center for an inside look at The Marist Poll, this fall's mid-term elections, and the morning line on the 2016 presidential contest. Marist Poll directors Lee M. Miringoff and Barbara L. Carvalho, along with The Marist Poll team, will introduce you to how more than 300 Marist College students carry out the best-in-the-nation public opinion polls, and what recent Marist polls, conducted with media partners NBC News and The Wall Street Journal, are showing about the elections.

Hudson River Boat Cruise
Longview Park/Riverfront Property
Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Hudson, New York’s American Heritage River with the fabulous crew of Hudson Cruises. A large boat will be departing every hour on the hour and a smaller boat will depart every half hour on the half hour. Complimentary tickets are limited to all guests that are registered for the full weekend, Saturday only or Sunday only. Once the tickets have been reserved, seats may become available during the weekend due to “no shows”. If you wish to try to get on a boat, you may go down to the Longview Park/Riverfront Property, prior to the scheduled departure time to see if space becomes available. Please reserve your complimentary tickets online and indicate your choice departure times.    

Boats depart from the Longview Park/Riverfront Property on the hour and half hour at:
10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm, 5pm

Walkway Over the Hudson Bus Trips (every ½ hour)
Departure Location: Hancock Center (school bus provided)
The last departure from Campus is at 3:00pm.
The final departure from the walkway will be at 4:30 pm

The Walkway Over the Hudson transforms the bridge into a linear park and trailway. The bridge provides public access to the Hudson River's scenic landscape for pedestrians, while connecting with an extensive network of rail-trails, parks, and communities. For more information about the walkway, check out www.walkway.org. Buses will depart from Hancock Center every half hour with the last departure at 3:00pm. The final departure from the walkway will be at 4:30pm.

Spend time with friends and family before the football game. Food, fun and entertainment will be provided. Please join special guests Tim Murray, Director of Athletics and Jim Parady, Head Coach for the Marist Football Team, who will address the crowd at noon. The Marist College Dance Team, “Shooter”, our college mascot, and the Marist College marching band will perform along with Marist Alum and DJ, Hobie Armstrong. Please note that parents, guests and students must be registered for Family Weekend to attend this event. There is an additional fee of $15 to attend for students and guests.

Cheer on the Marist Red Foxes, 2013 Pioneer League co-champions as they take on the San Diego Toreros. A limited number of family chair back tickets are available in the community section of the stadium. These tickets will allow family members to sit with their student, but must be reserved (note that students are generally seated in the student section for the game). The student ticket will be free and the guest tickets will be $5 each. Please note you must be registered for the weekend or Saturday only to purchase the family chair back tickets. If the tickets are sold out you will still be able to order tickets on line at www.goredfoxes.com, or you may purchase tickets at the gate.

Glorie Farm Winery Tasting & Tour

Exact cash encouraged for tasting. Purchases can be made with cash, credit/debit.
Enjoy an afternoon at Glorie Farm Winery in Marlboro, NY, where you can pay to taste 5 wines for $5 and keep the souvenir tasting glass. Rumple Pumpkin is the hot ticket there in the fall, and it will be included in your tasting. A semi-dry white wine infused with pumpkin spice, this scrumptious wine is like Hudson Valley autumn in a glass! The staff will guide you through the wine tasting and if you would like to sample more wines from their portfolio they will be happy to pour one for an additional $1 per sample. Feel free to bring a blanket and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the Hudson River Valley. Please reserve your complimentary bus tickets online and select your choice departure times. Please note tickets are limited.

Newburgh Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in the heart of the City of Newburgh.  Founded in 2012, they brew a wide variety of brews, from the traditional to the totally unique.  As innovation is the cornerstone of the craft beer movement in the United States, they pride themselves on brewing a new style of beer each month, which complements the yearly and seasonal offerings.  Located in a 160 year old rehabilitated brick warehouse, the brewery itself is a beautiful example of adaptive re-use, and not to be missed! You will be able to participate in a tour and sample two of their beers. Pints will be available for $5.00 and food may also be purchased during your visit. Please reserve your complimentary bus tickets online and select your choice departure times. Please note tickets are limited.

Family Weekend Concert: An Evening withpentatonix logo

Vocal sensations and winners of season 3 of NBC’s The Sing-Off, Pentatonix are taking instrument-free music far beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. Named after the world’s most widely recognized five-note music scale, this quintet has transformed one of pop music’s purest and most soulful expressions into an exciting future, filled with limitless sonic possibilities. From their original tracks to their intricate reimagining of pop hits and epically complex arrangements and medleys, Pentatonix have quickly developed a sound and style that is entirely unique and undeniably infectious. Pentatonix is comprised of lead vocalists Scott Hoying (22), Kristie Maldonado (21) and Mitch Grassi (21), vocal bass Avi Kaplan (24) and beatboxer Kevin “K.O.” Olusola (25) and, while the individuals would maintain that each of their fellow band members is irreplaceable, the fact remains that 24-hours before their audition for The Sing-Off they still hadn’t officially met.

 In addition to their live shows, the Pentatonix YouTube channel boasts more than 200 million views and 2.7 million subscribers, propelled by unparalleled performances of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know,” (19 million views) and Lorde’s “Royals,” (15 million) as well as the incomparable “Evolution Of Music,” a 4 minute, 36-song live journey through the history of music that has tallied more than 21 million views and “Daft Punk,” a 7-song medley and the lead track from PTX Vol 2, which has accrued more nearly 20 million views in its first 3 weeks.
