- Marist College

My earliest memory of Marist is...Arriving to campus for orientation and walking towards the Rotunda viewing the Hudson River in the background. At that very moment, my heart started to beat fast, I knew my college experience was just about to begin, and I felt like I made the best choice in the world. Four years later, I knew I definitely made the right choice.

My biggest mentors growing up were...My mother and father. Every since I was born, my parents supported me through all my academic and social decisions. They came to every tennis game, gymnastics meet, and piano and clarinet recital I ever participated or played in. My parents sat down with me and helped me to excel in school and have always been there for every step of the way. They have helped me become who I am today and I will do anything to help them.

When I think of Heroes I think of...My Uncle William Nagle. My Uncle Willy just passed away this August of a massive heart attack. Throughout my entire life, my uncle always taught me to never be lazy and to always use all the qualities you were given. He was an extremely enthusiastic, supportive, and courageous person.

When I'm not busy with things at Marist I...Enjoy spending time with my friends, playing tennis, going to METS and JETS games, going out to dinner, and swimming.

If I could travel anywhere...I'd go to Ireland to visit my family or to Maine because I love seafood, the beach, and lighthouses.

The best thing about college is...You get to engage in endless amounts of opportunities that allow you to embark upon your dreams and goals, as well as meet and make many different friends. You get to define who you are!

One of my favorite movies is...Holes. I read the book with my middle school students during my student teaching experience and just recently watched the movie. I absolutely love the themes and plot of the story.

Message to the Marist students...Enjoy every moment of college and take advantage of the never-ending opportunities Marist has to offer. Stay focused, get involved, and have FUN!
