Welcome to the Marist Community! The Office of First Year Programs and Leadership Development provides traditional first-year students with a comprehensive orientation experience that begins with our one-day New Student Orientation and continues with Welcome Week and a unique, on-going Mentoring Program. Click here to register for Orientation.
There is much to be excited about as well as a few things to be done prior to your arrival on campus. For your convenience, we have assembled many of the required tasks that all new students must complete into a “clickable” checklist that will bring you directly to each area. The list is in date order, so please pay careful attention to the various deadlines and plan accordingly. We have also included an extensive Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section to help you become more familiar with what is expected the summer before your arrival.
Please check back frequently for updates designed to make your transition to Marist easier.
Information
The dates for this year's program are May 31st, June 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. Each day runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The program on each day is exactly the same, so there are no advantages to choosing one date over another. Students select one of eight possible sessions, and they register online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Class of 2017, please remember you must register for June Orientation prior to your arrival at Marist. Once you register, you will receive an immediate auto-response via your Marist email account indicating that your space has been reserved.
Orientation Check-in
Check-in for each orientation session will begin at 8:00 am in the McCann Center. Please enter campus from the South entrance off of Route 9. Here you will be greeted by an Orientation Leader and directed to a table to complete your check-in and receive your group assignment, schedule for the day and information packet.
