Below are some of this year's Transfer Peer Mentors. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Samantha Proffitt.
Jennifer Auclair, '15. After transferring to Marist in the Fall of 2012, Jennifer - a Psychology and Special Education major originally from Maine - became incredibly active on campus. A member of everything from Singers to Emerging Leaders, she took the advice to get involved to heart, and is looking forward to sharing her experiences with fellow transfer students. "It's helpful to talk to someone who has been through the transfer experience already," she says. "That's the best resource we can offer."
Deanna Devito, '15. A biology major originally from New Jersey, Deanna transferred to Marist if the Fall of 2012 and became involved in Phi Delta Epsilon, Student Government and the Italian American Society. As a Resident Assistant and an Orientation Leader, Deanna's goals for working with fellow transfer students include helping them connect with others by hosting "meet and greet" events in various residence areas.
Chloe Liu, '16. A Long Island native majoring in Psychology and Special Education, Chloe joined the Marist community in the Spring of 2013. An active member of Teachers of Tomorrow, Booster Club, Campus Ministry and Cheerleading, Chloe recommends incoming transfer students get as involved as possible at Marist. "Do as much as possible as soon as possible," she recommends. "It will help you feel comfortable and more a part of the Marist community."
