Learning to Be Yourself

The best leaders are self-aware. New leaders and young adults in general, often describe their experience with the “imposter syndrome,” an uneasy feeling that others will discover we simply don’t know all there is to know about what we are doing! This workshop helps participants understand the challenges we all face from our late teens through our early thirties by looking at the following milestones: forming our identity; developing relationships of friendship and intimacy as well as a meaningful spirituality;
identifying a life’s work, and finding trusted guides or mentors who can help us with the process of growth.

Principled Leadership in the Face of Change and Crisis

As Mayor from 1993-2001, Rudy Giuliani reduced the overall crime and murder rate to make New York City the safest large city in America. Just when New Yorkers were beginning to enjoy the city's revitalization, the unimaginable hit on 9-11. Giuliani swiftly marshaled his remarkable leadership skills to pull his city, and perhaps the entire nation, through the crisis. As a result of his accomplishments, he was named "Person of the Year" by Time magazine, received honorary knighthood by the Queen of England and was presented with the "Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award." He has been touted as one of the most effective chief executives in modern American history. Participants will hear how to inspire excellence from a team, stand up to bullies, and develop and communicate strong beliefs.

This program examines the impact our technological dependency may have upon the manner (and quality) of our interactions. Proficiency in electronic communication, particularly through the Internet and social media, is now expected among young leaders. You will be asked to turn off devices for the duration of this event.
