Recycling at Marist

Commingled recyclables are recyclables that can be mixed together in the same recycling container. On the Marist campus any container that is marked commingled or co-mingled can receive glass, tin/aluminum cans, and plastics #1 and #2.

  • No caps
  • Rinsed and unbroken
  • Plastic Bottles (#1 and #2)
  • Liquid Soap
  • Laundry soap
  • Shampoo
  • Bleach
  • Soda
  • Milk
  • Juice
  • Water

Metal:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Canned foods
  • Soda cans
  • Rinsed; Do Not Flatten

Mixed Paper

  • Magazines
  • Junk Mail
  • Letters

  • File Folders(without labels)
  • Colored Paper
  • Computer Printouts

The college is recycling glass, cans, bottles, newspaper, metals, cardboard.

  • Donnelly Hall: mixed paper, commingled (paper in offices & labs)
  • McCann Recreation Center: white paper, commingled
  • Residences facilities: commingled, mixed paper, newspaper
  • Cannavino Library: white paper, commingled
