Important Spring 2021 Housing Move-In Information for Students in Non-Contiguous States

January 15, 2021—Our records indicate that you will be traveling from a non-contiguous state (all states excluding NY, PA, NJ, CT, MA, VT) and are required to complete a 10-day quarantine period as designated per New York State's COVID-19 Travel Advisory (https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory#traveler-health-form), prior to returning to the Marist Campus in February. Marist policy does not permit any student to test out of quarantine.

If you wish to quarantine at Marist, you must arrive between Thursday, February 11, and Sunday, February 14, in order to complete your quarantine. Students must communicate their preferred time and date for arrival by emailing housing@marist.edu. Quarantine housing will be assigned by Housing and Residential Life as accommodations are requested.

Next steps are:

Health Requirements:

  • COVID-19 Test: You will need to provide test results from a non-rapid PCR COVID-19 test prior to your arrival on campus. All non-rapid PCR COVID-19 tests should be taken within 14 days of arrival on campus. You will not have access to campus, including quarantine housing, without test results confirmed by Health Services. Specific instructions for uploading this information will be available on the Patient Portal on the Marist Health Services website (https://my.marist.edu/health-services) starting February 1.
  • Flu Vaccination: You are required to upload proof of your flu vaccine to the Patient Portal on the Marist Health Services website (https://my.marist.edu/health-services) before February 1, or you will not be permitted to come to campus.

Housing Requests

  • If you wish to quarantine at Marist, you must sign the Marist Quarantine Housing Agreement before arriving on campus. This will be sent to you with your quarantine housing assignment. The same fee as the Fall 2020 semester of $100 per week, not including food, will apply.
  • If you will not be quarantining at Marist, please contact the Marist Office of Housing and Residential Life to provide details pertaining to your arrival and quarantine arrangements in a non-restricted state by emailing housing@marist.edu.

Additional information regarding your Spring 2021 semester will be forthcoming including quarantine instructions, dining options and other guidelines. The College will continue to update the reopening section of the website (https://www.marist.edu/reopen) with information related to Spring 2021 reopening as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing springreopening@marist.edu or by calling our hotline at (845) 575-4100.

Sincerely,
Marist Office of Housing and Residential Life
