Pathways for Fall 2013 Honors & Special-Topics Courses

This information pertains to students entering the College in Fall 2013. If you began your work at Marist before then, you will follow the Core requirements outlined here.

As you know, many Honors and special-topics courses fulfill distribution requirements within the Marist Core. If you take HIST 296 History of Women in Latin America, for example, you can use this course to fulfill your Breadth requirement in History. (If it does not show up on your audit that way but is serving only as an elective, contact the Registrar to fix this.) Similarly, HONR 331 Hudson River Valley Poetry can be used not just to satisfy a requirement in the Honors Program, but also to fulfill the Literature Breadth requirement.

On top of all this, some Honors and special-topics courses also work for particular Pathways. The list below indicates which courses work for which Pathways. Please feel free to contact Core Director Dr. Moira Fitzgibbons if you have any questions about this list or the presence of these courses on your audit.
