Kate VandenDolderKate VandenDolder is from Sunderland, Massachusetts. A senior at  Marist College, she is a criminal justice major, interested in  pursuing a higher degree in law.

The Honors Program has enabled her to explore world issues and expand  her academic horizons outside of her major. On campus she is involved  in many things, including the Honors Student Advisory Board, Campus Ministry, and the  Criminal Justice Honor Society. Over the course of her academic career  she has interned at the Office of the New York State Attorney General  and worked at the Duchess County Jail.

She looks forward to the future opportunities the Honors Program has to offer.

Eric Croci

Eric.Croci1@marist.edu

Eric CrociEric is currently a junior at Marist majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematics. He is from Western Massachusetts (Go Red Sox!!!).

Being a Computer Science major, Eric enjoys the opportunity to take classes in different fields such as Literature and Social Sciences. His favorite Honors class (although he wasn’t too excited about the course name) was Honors Versions of the Self: Love and Marriage, team-taught by Dr. Rose De Angelis and Dr. Don Anderson, where they discussed changing gender roles of the 1950s and 1960s. Professors De Angelis and Anderson, being married themselves, offered unique insights into the family structure during this time period.

Eric feels that the Honors Program is the perfect opportunity for students, especially those coming from Science and Math backgrounds, to branch out and challenge themselves in unknown areas. He enjoys taking classes that are “outside the box” and challenge him to think in many different ways.

He is very involved on campus, being a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, part of the Emerging Leaders Program, Business Club, Campus Ministry, the Student Ambassador’s Program, and Intramural Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball. He also works in the Admission’s Office and for the Marist College Event Staff.
