International Student Orientation

The Marist College International Orientation Program is an intensive workshop at the beginning of each semester that introduces students to the college, helps them register for courses, meet faculty and administrators, and become familiar with college and governmental policies and procedures.

A component of the orientation is an additional American Culture and Language seminar during the Fall and Spring semesters. This required seminar helps students understand the academic practices and requirements vital to success at college in the United States. Both the orientation workshop and seminar are mandatory for all international students.

International student orientation will take place on Tuesday through Friday, 22-25 August 2017, beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. each day. Please report to the Murray Student Center, Music Building Entrance. You will find detailed information about the event in your orientation letter that you received from Marist College Admissions.

Plan to arrive in the USA before 22 August 2017, so that you may participate in the full program, a requirement for all international students. On-campus housing will be provided beginning on 21 August for students participating in the international orientation program. We look forward to seeing you!

An additional fee is required of both graduate and undergraduate students to cover the cost of orientation as well as the subsequent seminar.
