Summer Pre-College Admission

Theatre Performance

Session 2: The 2019 Session 2 programs will run July 14th - July 27th.

Do you love theatre and performing? Would you like to study theatre at college as a vehicle to a variety of career paths? The Marist Summer Pre-College Theatre Program offers you a 13 day “test-drive” on the beautiful Marist campus. This program introduces you to college-level material, as well the unique experience of living on campus. Mornings are filled with acting lessons, scene study and reading of plays, and afternoons are spent learning the roles of theatre artists: actors, directors, designers, playwrights, and producers. You will work closely with Marist faculty and our program includes a trip to Broadway with a backstage tour and a private talk-back with cast members. Our program culminates with a final showcase of acting scenes for an invited audience, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your new skills from your two-week hands-on experience.  Best of all, we keep our program small so that your experience is an intimate and rewarding one.

If you love theatre, you will love immersion in all aspects of this program—learning from college faculty and professionals, applying performance skills, studying college-level course material, visiting Broadway and meeting new life-long friends.
