Bio:

Lori Beth or LB to her friends, slipped away from her position as Senior Director at Turner PR NYC to pursue her master’s in NYU’s Corporate Communication program.

Since stepping full-time into academia in January 2011, LB began to freelance her work in order to stay connected. At Marist, LB is able to share her experience in the field with her students. She teaches courses in Public Relation, as well as Public Presentation. She spends most of her afternoons with student organizations, advising and mentoring.

While at Turner, LB led new business outreach, working with her team to nearly double the company’s revenue by expanding the roster with large national brands. She also worked directly with brand CEOs and Marketing Managers to build brand initiatives and leverage depth of the collaborative teams.

Early in her career at Ruder Finn, LB learned the importance of crisis management; an invaluable tool for clients and something that continues to set her apart from her peers. Over the last twelve years LB gained experience in managing teams, building highly strategic public relations campaigns and garnering new business relationships. Known for her creative character, she constructed successful national campaigns while working with brands such as Eddie Bauer, K-SWISS, Airwalk, The North Face and Levi’s.

LB has placed her clients in top national media outlets from network TV to newspapers and magazines. LB also works as on-air Trend Forecaster for CW11’s Morning Show. Over the last eight years she has informed New Yorkers about upcoming trends in fashion, covering events such as the US Open and Fashion Week.
