Information on Internships, Summer Research Opportunities, and Careers in Mathematics

Important: Many summer internships have application deadline dates during the previous fall semester or winter. In addition, many require one or more interviews that occur during the fall semester. In light of this, it is highly recommended that if you are interested in a summer internship, that you start the application process when you return to campus in the fall.

Note: For those students interested in an actuarial internship, some companies require that you have passed one of the actuarial exams. For information on these exams and to schedule the taking of an exam, go to the Society of Actuaries (SOA) website.

If you have any questions concerning internships or the application process, please contact Dr. Kirtland ( , ext: 2602, HC3042). Furthermore, please keep Dr. Kirtland informed of your internship plans and applications.
