Double Your Opportunity: Achieve More with a Dual Degree
Marist’s dual degree programs create a seamless transition from undergraduate to graduate studies, allowing you to secure your graduate pathway before completing your undergraduate degree. Most programs are designed as accelerated dual degrees, which means you can earn both your undergraduate and graduate degree in just five years, fast-tracking your career.
Key Benefits of Pursuing a Dual Degree
Save Time and Money
In many programs you’ll quickly accelerate through your undergraduate degree and begin your graduate coursework sooner, reducing the total cost of your education.
Peace of Mind
With Direct Entry programs, you’ll know that you’ve already been accepted into the graduate program when you start your first semester as an undergraduate. With Earned Entry programs, you’re accepted while completing your undergraduate studies.
Competitive Edge
You’ll possess a powerful combination that will make you an attractive hire to future employers: practical, relevant skills (and necessary certifications some professions require) to show field-specific knowledge, plus leadership qualities such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

The Types of Dual Degree Programs Offered at Marist
Marist’s dual degree programs are structured two different ways:
Direct Entry Programs
Students apply alongside their undergraduate application, securing a place in the graduate program from the start if accepted.
Earned Entry Programs
These require additional undergraduate prerequisites and students typically apply during their sophomore or junior year of college.
Direct Entry at the Start of Your Undergraduate Studies
- As part of your undergraduate application to Marist during high school, you also request entry into a graduate program.
- If accepted, you are guaranteed entry into the graduate program upon completing your undergraduate studies.
