2015 Tarver Interns

  Nicholas Bayer
is a senior majoring in Political Science
  (concentration in International Studies) with minors in
  French & Music. Over the summer he worked with the
  World Affairs Council’s newly formed Communications
  Committee to identify viable social media strategies to
  expand the organization's membership base and attract
  college students. In addition to updating the World Affairs
  Council's website, Nick created a set of procedures to
  assist with outreach and program planning.  

  Gabrielle Eberle is a junior Psychology major in the
  Honors Program with a double minor in Cognitive Science
  & Global Studies. Gabrielle spent the summer
  at Dutchess Outreach working to streamline the
  organization's assessment and referral process. She
  developed a survey that was administered to more than
  60 clients and is in the process of preparing a research
  paper that her faculty advisor believes could be published.


  Gabrielle Gerber is a junior in the Honors Program with
  a double major in Communications (with a concentration
  in Advertising) & Economics. Gabrielle worked at the United
  Way of
the Dutchess-Orange Region to create and implement
  a social media campaign that highlights the work of the
  United Way. She was surprised by the crucial role played
  by writing in her work: "I found that it was quite rewarding
  going out and conducting an interview, developing a story
  and then seeing it online after meticulous editing. It was a
  great opportunity to learn how to write for an organization."

  Breanna Lechase
is a senior with a double major in
  Political Science & Economics and a concentration in
  Public Opinion. Breanna worked with Hudson River
  Housing staff to conduct workforce development research
  and identify entry-level jobs in the region by skill level and
  employee characteristics. This research will directly
  inform the development of the "EATS" (Employment
  Assistance and Training Station) program at the

  Kristen Semple
is a junior International Business major
  with a minor in Environmental Policy. Over the summer
  Kristin developed and implemented an innovative social
  media photo project with guests and attendees of the
  Clearwater Sloop and others who enjoy the places
  where the Clearwater sails. The photos will be produced
  and installed in several public spaces throughout the region.
