Student-Run Textbook Drive Benefits Literacy Organization

book driveFor several weeks in November & December 2016, Fontaine Hall looked as if a massive decluttering effort were under way: at several key points in the building, massive boxes were filled to the brim with educational books. The brightly colored boxes actually represented an even more productive initiative--a textbook drive organized by students in the College's English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta.

The hundreds of books gathered as part of this initiative have been sent to Better World Books, an international nonprofit organization that distributes books to literacy organizations, reduces landfill waste, and created hundreds of jobs in North America. Congratulations to our students for choosing to support this important social venture!
