Marist Alumnus to Share Pilgrimage Experiences

On Tuesday, April 30, Brendan Mooney '71 will speak to students about his experiences as a traveler along the El Camino pilgrimage route in Spain. Mr. Mooney, the uncle of Cara Mooney '15, has walked the Camino several times and last year volunteered as a hospitalero in the hostel of St. Domingo de la Calzada in La Rioja.

Mr. Mooney recently shared some of his experiences in a Globetrotter article. His talk will be designed for students participating in "El Camino and Seville: Traveling in Time," a Marist International Programs spring attachment course coordinated by Dr. Patricia Ferrer of the Department of Modern Languages & Cultures and Dr. Lea Graham of the Department of English. The talk is open to the entire campus community and is sponsored by Marist International Programs, the Department of Modern Languages & Cultures, and the English Department. The event will take place at 9:00 a.m. in the Henry Hudson Room of Fontaine Hall.
