Spring 2020: CUBA March 14 - 21, 2020
INTD317L: Cuba - Past, Present & Future
This course has been approved to substitute for the following core offerings for students in SPP:
INTD 212L | INTD 213L | INTD 209L
It may also be used as a substitute for other course requirements in the Professional Studies and Management Studies majors. Please see your academic advisor to understand how to best leverage the course in your individual degree plan.
While this course is officially listed as a spring course, it will consist of several pre and post departure assignments in addition to the 8-day trip. These assignments will be done via iLearn.
Travel: March 14 - 21, 2020
Marist faculty, students and their guests stay in a beautifully restored home or residencia (similar to a bed and breakfast). Located in the Vedado neighborhood just outside Havana, these accommodations are exclusively reserved for members of the trip and are overseen by an on-site local host or host family with English speaking support staff. Double or triple rooms are included. There is an additional fee for a single room.
This experience has been designed with the adult student in mind where a selection of unique experiences have been chosen to appeal to a more sophisticated student. Adult guests and older children may attend this trip with the permission of the instructor. Guests are required to pay the program fee and participate in activities while abroad.
