Please provide your previous education including major, degree, and college/university attended.
I previously received a Masters of Management Studies in Finance from the Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research in Mumbai, India. Prior to that, I received a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from theR.D National College, also in Mumbai.

Tell us about your current or most recent employer and position:
Before coming to study at Marist, I was working for ICICI Bank Ltd. in Mumbai as a Deputy Manager. My job role was to provide banking services and investment advice to customers.

What are your short and longer term career goals?
For short term, I am planning to learn all that I can in my Information Systems Management courses. In the long term, I would like to implement my knowledge by securing a job that utilizes both my background in banking and finance and ISM.

Why did you choose to pursue your graduate degree at Marist?
I found the curriculum at Marist suited my needs. Also, the Marist-IBM joint study makes learning  interesting by relating to the practical things happening in the real world.

Tell us about a project or course that was particularly meaningful to your professional development or course of study?
The system analysis and design course consisted of lots of research and presentation. It helped me improve my presentation skills along with team work and communication skills.

What career development opportunities you have participated in through Marist?
I have participated in career fairs and resume development with the Career Services office. I am also participating in and helping to organize events offered through the Center for Multicultural Affairs. It is really great to work in teams and get to meet new people.

What advice would you give to other international students considering a graduate degree at Marist?
If you are looking for a college which has a good campus, good teaching, great events, and lovely people, you should come to Marist.

If you took an online class or had online learning as part of a regular course, tell us about your experiences – any tips or suggestions to pass along to future students?
Online classes are fun. MSIS students on campus get the chance to connect with other graduate students who are not on campus and share their experiences. The forum discussion helps in increasing knowledge as we learn from each other's practical experiences and it makes the theory we are learning applicable to real life situations.
