How did you know Marist was right for you?
It’s hard to describe the feeling; it’s almost like Marist chose me. The first time I drove onto the Marist campus I knew this was the one. I think it was the overall atmosphere of the school and the happiness on all of the students' faces that made me feel like I belonged. When you have the sense of home you don’t want to lose it and it was a decision I never looked back from.
How did Marist prepare you for your desired career path?
I have learned so much from my experiences here, not just in the classroom, but also in the variety of activities and clubs I have been involved with. Of course, I do not want to leave Marist, but it will be much easier to accept knowing I am fully prepared for whatever the world will throw at me.
What’s one of your favorite things about Marist?
My favorite thing at Marist is the sunset. After a long, stressful day, feeling the warmth of the sun and looking out at the river always puts a smile on my face.
Any advice for incoming freshmen?
Do not hesitate to get involved! I have met some of my best friends from joining clubs and from attending a variety of the school’s events. Also, do something out of your comfort zone! A favorite saying of mine is, “Life’s too short to be shy.” College is all about growth and exploration. When you are being handed your diploma, you’re not going to want to have any regrets.
