How has your time at Marist prepared you for the professional world after graduation?
My coursework in PR and advertising has been filled with scenarios for me to apply the skills I have acquired, including coming up with unique campaigns and strategies that were used for local organizations within the Hudson Valley. Because of the hands-on experience I get in the classroom, I am confident that I can succeed in my industry after graduation.
What is one thing you have looked forward to every school year?
Every school year I look forward to the beautiful scenery that I get to see every day on campus. The walk to class is so much easier knowing that you’re surrounded by the beautiful campus and have a clear view of the Hudson River. Nothing beats a Marist sunset and those create a captivating atmosphere at Marist, which really made my college experience.
What do you feel your niche has been at Marist and how would you advise incoming students to find their own?
At Marist, I was lucky enough to find a home with my sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. Being a part of KKG gave me so many new friends and presented me with opportunities for leadership, networking, and overall growth. My advice to incoming freshmen is to have the confidence to try new things and get involved as much as possible. You never know where it might lead or who it might lead you to.
