Kyle Zwiazek is a Communication major with a concentration in Sports Communication and a minor in Business from Clifton, New Jersey. He is involved with Marist Men’s Club Volleyball and WMAR and is an intern for the Marist Center for Sports Communication.
What’s been the best part about Marist over your four years here?
The best part about Marist over the last four years has been studying abroad. I was lucky enough to spend a total of three semesters studying abroad which helped me to get a greater perspective on life. To me, the college experience is more about what you learn outside of the classroom than what you learn inside. I can easily say that I would not be as prepared for life beyond college if I did not study abroad.
How has interning for the Center for Sports Communication prepared you for the future?
I have been able to grow and network very easily during my time interning there. What helps the most is the variety of projects that I get to work on. Also, Dr. Keith Strudler has a wealth of knowledge that helps us all grow inside and outside of the classroom.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
One piece of advice to incoming freshman is to take it all in. Your time goes by fast at Marist and before you know it you will be looking back thinking where did my time go. Take advantage of every opportunity you can. I would definitely suggest getting involved with different activities around campus and going abroad.
