How did you decide on your major?
I actually chose Marist because of their amazing education department! In the future, almost every classroom I teach in will have numerous students who require special services. I think it is my responsibility to be able to meet those students’ needs, which is why I came to Marist for this major.
Did you participate in any memorable extracurriculars?
All four years I have been in the Marist College Club of Theatre Arts (MCCTA). This club was one of the highlights of my college experience, I loved being a part of putting on some incredible shows! The fact that any student, no matter what major, can be in the shows meant we had an awesome community and a lot of fun.
What was your favorite part about the Marist experience?
Going abroad was one of the best parts of my four years. I studied in Paris, France for almost five months the spring of my sophomore year. I met people from all around the world, really improved my French, and even visited a bunch of other cities. Paris is now my favorite place in the world!
What are your plans for after graduation?
I am in Marist's 5-year program to receive my Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. I've already taken four graduate classes during my undergrad, and next year I will finish my degree.
Any advice for high school juniors and seniors considering Marist?
Marist is an incredible community, no matter your interests you will find people here who are passionate about the same thing. Come to Marist for a program that you are interested in, stay for the people who make feel like home!
