Jocelyn McQuade

Jocelyn McQuade is a senior from Vancouver, BC. She is a Digital Media major with minors in French and Studio Art. Jocelyn is also the captain of the Marist women’s water polo team.

Why did you choose Marist?
I chose Marist because I wanted to experience a new culture and climate. I also chose Marist because I play water polo and at the time when I was choosing a school the assistant water polo coach was an old friend of mine and she really talked up the school and showed me the advantages of coming here.

How has college prepared you for life after graduation?
College definitely prepared me to be a good multi-tasker, and it also taught me how to compartmentalize stress. Most importantly though I think college helped me understand what I do and don't want in my future.

What advice would you give to future Marist freshmen?
Enjoy your first two years as much as you can and don't stress about the future, there is plenty of time for stress in your second two years.

What has been the best part of your college experience?
My experience on the water polo team has been the best part of my college experience. My team is my family and by far has been greatest benefit.
