Chaithanyakrishna Reddy Noti recently graduated from Marist's Masters of Information Systems Management program in December of 2016.
Please tell us about your previous education including major, degree, and college/university attended.
I received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from S.K.P Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai, India.
Tell us about your professional history before coming to Marist.
I had 6 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry; my professional history includes positions such as Senior Quality Assurance at The Bank of New York Mellon as well as working in Quality Assurance at Marist College.
Tell us about your current employer and position.
In January 2017, I started working as International Aquaculture Account Executive for Keeton Industries in Colorado. I am managing International Sales operations and involved in information technology operations for Keeton Industries in India. Keeton is a leader in fish farming and sustainable aquaculture and has received 7 patents for biological treatment systems. They also hold the only patented probiotic in the aquaculture industry.
Why did you choose to pursue your graduate degree at Marist?
The Marist College MSIS curriculum is simply outstanding, which immediately motivated me.
Tell us about a project or course that was particularly meaningful to your professional development or course of study?
Every course was meaningful and helped significantly to grow my skills. To be specific, Systems Design, Information Systems Policy, Project Management, and the MBA courses were exceptionally helpful for gaining insights.
Tell us about career development opportunities you participated in through Marist.
To be honest, I feel privileged to be a part of the Marist community. The faculty helped me considerably and I also had a great experience working at Marist in Academic Technology and Web Services. As Marist is part of the Sakai Open-Source community, I had the chance to work with technology professionals from all over the world. I would like to thank faculty members Christopher Algozzine and Monish Singh for helping me throughout the duration of the program. In addition, I would also like to thank all of my team-mates from Academic Technology and Web Services for their tremendous support and productive thoughts.
What advice would you give to other international students considering a graduate degree at Marist?
Simply go ahead and become a part of beautiful Marist community and enhance your career options.
