What made you choose Marist?
I heard about Marist through a friend of a friend, and after looking through the website, I was excited by the Communication program, as well as the location and size of the school. Visiting the campus solidified my decision. I immediately felt at home, and I couldn’t envision myself spending the next four years anywhere else.

Why did you decide to study abroad in Florence at the Marist-LdM campus?
I decided to study abroad because so many upperclassmen had shared amazing stories with me that inspired me to look into study abroad programs. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to live and study in another country. I was excited to learn another language and culture, while also experiencing my passion for travel.

How has Marist prepared you for life after graduation?
The Communication program is incredible; all of my classes have prepared me for internships and allowed me to develop many practical skills. The professors are very knowledgeable about the industry and always willing to share advice. Marist also provides opportunities to gain experience outside of the classroom, as well as great networking opportunities.

What advice would you give to incoming students?
Take advantage of all the opportunities that you can, such as participating in internships, studying abroad, or joining clubs that you’re passionate about. Don’t be afraid to get involved and step out of your comfort zone.
