Leading career site Accounting.com ranks Marist 23rd in the nation

POUGHKEEPSIE (June 29, 2015) – Marist has one of the top undergraduate accounting programs in the nation, according to the 2015 "Best Bachelor’s In Accounting Programs" rankings, which were recently released from Accounting.com. Marist ranks 23rd on the list of the nation's top 50 schools for educating undergraduate accounting majors, putting it ahead of programs at other top schools like Penn State, Villanova, and Boston University.

The main factors for its 'Best Accounting Programs' rankings include academic rigor, selectivity, student satisfaction, and long-term success. 

"We are pleased to be recognized for our success in providing an excellent educational experience for our students majoring in accounting," said Dr. Lawrence Singleton, dean of the School of Management. "It is particularly gratifying to be ranked so highly by one of the leading career resources in the accounting field, and it is further evidence that Marist accounting majors are well-prepared for successful careers in this challenging and rewarding profession."
