Information for Students Interested in Health Professions Schools

While the majority of the Marist College pre-health students apply to medical, dental, veterinary or physician assistant school, we have some every year who choose other health professions, primarily optometry, physical therapy, and podiatry. Marist students are extremely successful gaining admission to these schools, with between 60 and 95% gaining entry to their chosen health profession school over the past five years (2012 to 2017). Marist Alumni have attended the New England College of Optometry (Boston), Pennsylvania College of Optometry, SUNY New York College of Optometry, Albany College of Pharmacy, Massachusetts College of Optometry, Boston University (PT), Duke University (PT), New York Medical College (PT), Sage College (PT), Stony Brook University (PT), Life College of Chiropractic Medicine (Georgia), New York College of Chiropractic Medicine, New York COllege of Podiatric Medicine, Sage College (OT), Bay Path College (OT), NYU (MPH), Yale (MPH), Columbia (MPH), just to list a few.
