Update on Negotiations With Marist Security

The College has been engaged in good faith negotiations with the union representing Marist Safety and Security employees and has reached tentative agreement on several provisions. These negotiations have had no impact on campus security staffing or the continued safety of our campus and community.

• Marist is currently in active negotiations with a union representing the College’s Safety and Security employees and we are now trying to reach resolution on a handful of outstanding issues and finalize a contract.
• Our security employees are valued members of the community at Marist and we are committed to a fair contract that supports the work they do.
• It is disheartening that the union is trying to leverage Admitted Student Weekend as a negotiating tactic.
