A New Home for the School of Management’s Student Investment Center

The College’s Student Investment Center—an integral part of learning for Marist business students—will be moved to Dyson, housing this important facility with the rest of the School of Management, which includes majors in Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics. The Center will feature a fully functional trading floor—similar to those in investment banks around the world. Located in the atrium of the proposed new building, it will have high visibility to visitors and the campus community.

I wanted to find a local school that had a great business administration program, and I got that with Marist. Also, the campus was so pretty, I could actually see myself walking the campus and studying in the library while viewing those beautiful sunsets over the Hudson River.

In fourth grade, I came up with an idea to start a party planning business and another one to start a cookie and lemonade stand at the Dutchess Rail Trail near my house. I’ve always been logical and analytical in my thinking, which eventually led me to major in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship.

I came to Marist excited for the life in New York. Excited about being close to the Big Apple, where all the cool things happened. I always wanted to be part of that, I believe that there is no better place to be if you really want to make an impact. All of a sudden, I went from the smallest city in Argentina, Tucuman, to the most important city in the world. The whole situation was mind-blowing to me.

My professors are so caring, and they want to see students succeed. They also have industry experience, which is so helpful because they often share personal stories from their own careers that I can then take and apply to mine. They’re really inspirational.
