Student Affairs is pleased to offer the following transportation services for students.
Spring Break (March) Bus Service
Departure Details: Buses depart from Marist on Friday, March 9th at 5:30 pm from Donnelly Hall
Hartford, CT (Train Station) & Newton, MA (Newton Marriott Hotel)
Long Island, NY (Roosevelt Field Mall – Bloomingdales)
Parsippany, NJ (Arlington Plaza Park n’ Ride)
Return Trip Details: Buses return to Marist on Sunday, March 18th
Newton, MA (Newton Marriott Hotel) - bus departs at 1 pm AND Hartford, CT (Train Station) – bus departs at 3 pm
Long Island, NY (Roosevelt Field Mall – Bloomingdales) – bus departs at 3 pm
Parsippany, NJ (Arlington Plaza Park n’ Ride) – bus departs at 2 pm
Tickets go on sale Thursday, February 1st at 12:00 pm (noon) at the Student Activities Office and conclude on Monday, March 5th.
End of Year (May) Airport Car Service
This is a one-way service from Marist to the airport. There is not a return service.
JFK/LaGuardia (LGA) Airports
Departure Details from Marist: All car service dates depart from Donnelly Hall
Wednesday, May 9th at 5 am (JFK only)
Thursday, May 10th at 5 am & 8 am (JFK & LGA)
Friday, May 11th at 5 am (JFK only)
Saturday, May 12th at 5 am & 8 am (JFK & LGA)
Sunday, May 13th at 5 am (JFK only)
Tickets go on sale Thursday, February 1st at 12:00 pm (noon) at the Student Activities Office and conclude on Monday, April 30th.
The Spring Break and End of Year services are contingent upon selling 50% of the seats per bus/van. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified one week prior to the departure so you can make alternate plans.

Marist College, Dutchess Community College and the County Loop Bus System have developed a new bus route which would provide Marist and DCC students access to many businesses, restaurants, grocery stores as well as the train station and the Residence Inn on a regular basis. The bus will run daily Monday through Saturday with the earliest pick-up at 8:04 AM and the latest drop off at 10:47 PM. This is part of Marist’s efforts to provide affordable transportation to students to vital local services (train station, grocery stores, galleria mall, etc) and to contribute to the College’s support of sustainability efforts.
This route, identified as Route H will be available to all students for FREE by showing their Marist ID card. It also allows you to ride for free on any other county bus which you can access at the Poughkeepsie Transportation Hub located across from the Civic Center on Market Street.
The bus can be picked up on Fulton Street (the Starbucks side of the street) directly across from the road access to Beck Place. Drop off is at the same location on the Beck Place side of the street.

Zipcars are available to all Marist College students 18+, faculty and staff. With our two Zipcars parked in the McCann Recreation Lot, all you have to do is decide where you want to go and when. Zipcars To reserve, you can go on-line, or on your mobile device, 24/7. Low hourly and daily rates include gas, insurance, and 180 miles per day.

Metro-North station runs commuter trains on the Hudson Line to New York City, as well as Amtrak trains, located at 41 Main St. in downtown Poughkeepsie.
The Poughkeepsie train station is a stop on Amtrak's national service. New York City (to the south) and Albany, NY (to the north) are other major nearby destinations.
