Harry Williams to head national IT association

Harry Williams, Marist College’s Chief Technology Officer, has been elected President of SHARE Inc.  SHARE is an independent, volunteer-run information technology association that provides education, professional networking and industry influence.  A member of the SHARE organization since 1985, Williams has previously served as Director of Community Enablement, Treasurer, Director of Industry Relations, and Vice President.

"Harry’s election to president of SHARE is a result of years of service and dedication to the enterprise computing community," said Bill Thirsk, Vice President of Information Technology/CIO at Marist College.  "His close involvement in SHARE has fostered Marist’s long-standing relationship with the organization and has helped the College to develop and support enterprise technologies for our community."

As Vice President since 2014, Williams was responsible for Industry Relations and Influence.  He also served on the committee for EXECUforum, an annual program held each winter that is aimed at enterprise IT executives and encourages discussion and shared learning. Serving a two-year term as president, Williams is responsible for helping to guide and grow the SHARE community, along with representing the organization in other worldwide enterprise IT user groups.

"I am so excited for Harry’s well-deserved selection and look forward to seeing how he takes on the role," noted current SHARE President James Vincent of Nationwide Insurance. "I am confident he will work with our new board to continue the strategic direction set during my term so that SHARE can further its direction of shaping the future of the enterprise technology ecosystem."
